When you update strange things happen.
ive tried numerous ways ive found online on how to fix it but still no luck.
More than likely we will say the same things..
Delete all the existing wifi profiles out of the computer.. then power down and restart the computer.. rediscover the wireless network and remember to check that your password is recorded in the keychain.
No luck.. then
Reset the main wireless device you are connected to.. which is???
Use new name.. short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric if you happen to be using airport router.. DO NOT USE APPLE RECOMMENDED NAMES.
Password similar rules 8-20 characters. Try and keep the name <10 characters.
Connect to the new wireless name and store the password as above.
No luck .. then it is probably time for serious action.
I would wipe the computer.. AFTER you take a full backup as well as a bootable clone to a USB drive.
Fresh install of the OS. Check that your problem is gone.. if it isn't then it is more likely a hardware fault.
Then use migration assistant to move your apps and files back to the computer.
This might seem long and complicated but actually it is the only way to fix some stuff that breaks in the system files.
Using the right tools.. it aint hard.. I use Carbon Copy Cloner to create the clone.. you can download it and use it free for a month.. which is very generous.
You will need to create a bootable USB stick with the OS for the clean install. A 10sec google search will get you that info.
