Deleted old Apple ID, still connected to current apps? How to update the app?

I have changed my Apple ID and deleted the old email address but have not deleted a few apps off my phone or iPad which are connected to the old account (the app not phone/ipad), is there a way to update the apps software or change their Apple ID without deleting and re-installing them? I am currently up to date with software - IOS 11.2.6.

Old apps, registered with a different Apple ID, cannot be updated without using that account. If these apps are important to you, then you should delete the old ones and purchase/download them with the new account.
