Apple Watch keeps 'Failing to Pair'

Hello,

Recently my Apple Watch wasn't showing up notifications, and I mainly rely on my watch to look for important notifications, then I would open my phone. But somehow, after a while, the notifications stopped showing up. I only felt a vibration on my wrist, where I wear my Apple Watch, but the notifications don't show up. I find it an inconvenience to pull out my phone every time there was a notification.

I tried what others told me to do; turning off wrist-detection and other tinkering with the Apple Watch, but again, it still didn't work. So I tried to Erase all data on my Apple Watch, and I tried to pair again.

Sadly, every time I tried to pair with the Apple Watch, my phone keeps saying Pairing Failed and then Your Apple Watch couldn't pair with your iPhone. It happens even when I tried to restore data, or to set up my Apple Watch as a new watch.

What should I do now? I've tried to pair the watch for more than 5 times, and it still doesn't work.

Hey there, Raedon_R13!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.

I understand that your Apple Watch keeps failing to pair to your iPhone. I'll be happy to help.

I suggest trying the exact steps in this support article: If your Apple Watch isn‘t connected or paired with your iPhone , specifically:

Check your Apple Watch connection

If you don't get notifications, messages, or calls on your Apple Watch, your Apple Watch and iPhone might not be connected. When your devices disconnect, User uploaded file or User uploaded file appears on your watch face. You can also check your connection in Control Center. When your Apple Watch connects again, User uploaded file appears.

If you need help, try the steps below. After each step, see if your devices can connect.

Try to connect your Apple Watch and iPhone again

  1. Keep your Apple Watch and paired iPhone close together to make sure that they're in range.
  2. On your iPhone, make sure that Airplane Mode is off and that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on. To check, swipe up to open Control Center.

  3. If you see User uploaded file on your watch face, Airplane Mode is on. Swipe up to open Control Center, then turn Airplane Mode off.
  4. Restart your Apple Watch and iPhone.

Unpair your devices, then pair them again

If your Apple Watch still can't connect, unpair your devices, then pair them again:

  1. On your Apple Watch, tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
  2. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen. Tap User uploaded file next to the watch that you want to unpair, then tap Unpair Apple Watch. Tap again to confirm.
  3. Pair your Apple Watch and iPhone again.

If you still need help after that, you'll want to contact Apple Support.
