I'm wondering if there's a permanent solution to this problem from Apple yet. iMovie imports clips and shows the time of import instead of time of the actual movie taken.

Quite honestly I don't know if a bug report has been filed on this. There have been quite a few reports about the issue appearing on this forum, pertaining to iMovie 10.1.7 ad 10.1.8, so it is pretty well known in the Apple community.

I am not aware of any permanent solution to the date/time stamp issue as yet. If Apple addresses it, it would come in a future update.
