Songs Disappear after they are re-released in an album or ep

I've enjoyed Apple Music so far, however as of recently, I keep having issues with songs disappearing. Often times artists will release singles before they release the actual album that contains it. When that happens the singles are disappearing without letting me know that the track was re-released and I no longer have the song or even a placeholder for it, it simply vanishes. I have to guess every time this happens.

Does anyone have this issue? Is there a way to check the history of what you have downloaded even when the artist removes it and re-releases it in apple music? It's irritating not only because I have to play a guessing game of what is missing but it also messes with trackers such as "Date Added" and the "Plays" numbers which I like to keep track of.
