What keyboard layout are you using (Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards) ? On the UK keyboard on the alpha layout the question mark and full stop are on the key bottom right next to the shift key.
Thanks for your response. I was using the English keyboard I see that the UK keyboard has the (. period) but it does not have the ! exclamation point in English it’s only in Spanish which is upside down.
The English UK keyboard has the exclamation point (it’s not upside for me) on the key next to the question mark and full stop - you only have the one keyboard layout selected in Settings ?
