I gave my son my old iPhone 6s I have the 8 he reset it and now I’ve lost my pictures on my phone

If the photos are truly missing, you'll have to restore from a backup that contained them:
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
It seems like that you may be sharing an Apple ID. If so, don't do that! One of you should get a new Apple ID:
Create and start using an Apple ID
If you want to share purchases and other content, you should use family sharing
