Unable to Restore IPhone from iTunes

hello everyone,

i was just asking about restoring an iphone from itunes. i plugged in my iphone to restore backup, when it said i needed to update the phone, i did so and now its completey up to date. i tried to restore form itunes again and it has come up with he same message, for me to update my phone that is completey up to date.

what do i do to restore this phone?
