high sierra stuck on boot

I can not see an Apple answer on this common question, which seems to cause serious problems to many mac users including me. 1-2 days fighting, data loss, downgrade to el capitan, etc.

Why is this ?

Mac mini, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

Why that is , is difficult to answer without specifics.

If you have the issue, do this:

shutdown the mac,do

SMC reset,

do NVRAM reset,

Startup.

When still the same: describe your situation as John Galt proposed.

There can be a number of reasons, most of which are due to having previously modified macOS in some manner.

If you are having trouble with your Mac, it's best to describe your own particular circumstances than to ask about nonspecific generalities.

Thanks for the answers. There is only one solution - no smc reset, no nvram reset, no disk repair, no reinstall - only formatting the hd and new os install. This is a well known issue and the solution is time consuming, first reading all the information, than trying all the ways suggested, finally disk erase and install. After this migrating 6-800 gigabytes from the safety copy disk, I have been working on it about for 30 hours. And that is why I asked for an Apple reaction - this is a well known problem under high sierra users.
