Rode SmartLav Plus not recognized on Macbook Air (solved)

Just want to create helpful post for someone who have troubles with Smartlav+ on 10.10 (and above)

If your SmartLav+ not recognized, or appears only as Headphones in Sound Setting, do this:

1) Start SAYING something loudly with p-punchy sound (like p-p-p-p-unchy) right into the mic

2) At the same moment, keep saying this and connect SmartLav+ to the input jack

Magically, it appears as an external mic 😮

PS Try it few times with other words if needed 😁
