Security question dead lock

When I try to login on icloud.com it demands an answer to one of my security questions. Which I don't know. As solution to that it offers to reset my security questions. Fine, try that. Guess what? In order to reset your security questions you must first answer one of your security questions. Just brilliant. :-(

Ah well, I guess I can do without the icloud website.

You are assuming that the problem is to get access. It isn't.

It will be one day.

You are being prevented from resetting your security questions via a self serve option. If you did not add a rescue email address to your account, your only option now is to call support as suggested, and if verified as the account holder, have Apple reset them

The problem that I'm trying to report is a user interface that is lacking consistency. ***

When you open www.icloud.com in the address bar and enter your Apple ID and password it will never ask security questions , it will only ask the security questions when the user enter in appleid.apple.com

If you have seriously forgotten the questions and answers when Apple ID was created see this article If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions - Apple Support

You have to contact apple support , do you have a rescue mail address already created if not create it call them on phone a link is sent to this mail address and a code is generated , you have to speak it on the phone to the advisor , and that link is valid for 24 hours , once the identity is verified your Apple ID will be opened ( make sure you must have Apple ID address and serial number of Mac written with you before calling them ) .

And by the way I can't understand the language what screen shots are showing and after continue click on drop down arrows and choose questions then type answer for that question ( take a screen shot of it command + shift and 3 or write down somewhere , you have to fill up total 3 questions and answers and date/month/year ie . your birth details and if it doesn't accept the id is locked for security reason and the terminology used is zero Apple ID , but don't be afraid you can and will get help see this article If your Apple ID is locked or disabled - Apple Support

And contact in apple support only .

Calling support is not going to fix that. They would only be focussed on getting those security questions reset.

I know that, but since Apple is sending me here... crowd sourcing their support, I guess. This is where I ask the question(s) and/or give the feedback.

Why do you think Apple is sending you here? And, this is, once again, not where you give feedback. Use the link I provided for that.

Those other many possibilities available consisted of the "reset your security questions" procedure. Which is what did not work at all. And what annoyed me in the first place. ;-)

So I decided to try and let Apple know their setup is "somewhat lacking in consistency"... well intended. But it really ends here. I understand that you guys are just the community that is being used by Apple to do their support for free. But that is definitely not my problem. I gave it one try to be helpful and that's it. If Apple chooses to have that land in place where it won't be noticed by them. I don't care, so be it.

No one here cares if you leave feedback or not. However, in the time you spent complaining about how you were directed to the wrong place to leave feedback, and how Apple will be sorry, you could have left the feedback. But, it's probably just as well you didn't.

Not read the thread than read , because you are not able to sign in with Apple ID and no question and answer is saved with you ( not sure you have or not in your records ) , but only apple support authorities / advisors can open your Apple ID .

We all here are just a simple everyday Mac .

Thanks !

If you don't read threads before answering, you're posts will be nothing more than useless repeats of what has already been said in the thread. And that even includes your final remark that people here are not Apple support. ;-)

Please don't do that.
