When I look up my IPad on my devices, it does not tell me what my model number is. All it says is "IPad" How do I find out what kind I have as I do not have it with me now. It does tell me my serial number though
Look on the back the number is in small writing starting with A like A1395 is one.
I had a feeling you had the fifth gen iPad.
That 2017 iPad, now, is simply called iPad, but is often referred to, even by Apple, as the iPad 5th generation.
Do you know what version of iOS your iPad is running?
Is it a standard size 9.7 inch screen or a smaller size iPad Mini with a 7.9 inch screen?
The OP doesn't currently have access to the iPad.
So, that is why I am asking obvious questions to narrow down the model choices.
Thanks for responding. I figured it out by using a conversion program that takes my serial number and converts to my IPad specs. turns out it is a 9.7 fifth generation.
