Removing Malwarebytes update popup from my AppleMac

I have removed Malwarebytes from my AppleMac and still get their pop up to update. If I search my hard drive

nothing shows up for Malwarebytes. How do I get rid of the persistent popup?

Follow this guide to remove it. But are you sure you want to do this; it is a hugely beneficial app to have.

1 Open Malwarebytes for Mac.

2 On the menu bar, click Help.

3 Click Uninstall Malwarebytes.

4 A prompt appears with the following message: "This will completely remove the Malwarebytes software. Are you sure you wish to proceed?"

5 Click Yes.

6 Enter your password.

7 Click OK.

Deleting the app is not the appropriate uninstall method. This is true for ALL software that requires an installer, and many that don't. Always use the uninstaller or uninstall method provided by the developer of the software, and documented on their website or product documentation. Never use any kind of generic app "zapper," "cleaner" or "remover."

In the case of Malwarebytes, as seventy one mentioned, the easiest solution is to reinstall it, then uninstall the correct way.
