applecare in the US from foreign country

I recently bought an iPhoneX in Boston, but live in Norway. I want to buy AppleCare in America, but when I register I have to give a billing address in the US. There is no option to buy AppleCare in Norway, and I want to fix it in Boston anyway. What do I do?

A little technical observation:

The warranty and AppleCare/AppleCare+ on the iPhone are not international.

If you go to the warranty pages and follow the links down for iPhone warranty you get to:

https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/ios-warranty-document-us.html - WARRANTY SERVICE OPTIONS - "Service will be limited to the options available in the country where service is requested. Service options, parts availability and response times may vary according to country. "

Yes, it does later say:

http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/ios-warranty-document-us.html - "IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE, iPAD AND APPLE TV SERVICE. Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."

Note it only says "may restrict", it does not state outright the warranty is not international, though I suspect that given the opportunity to say "no" when presented for service they may well do so.

The links posted above should be informative, but to answer your question directly, you can't do that.

The warranty and AppleCare / AppleCare+ are only valid in the country where the phone was originally sold. If you purchased it in the US, you can only buy additional coverage from Apple in the US and that coverage will only be valid in the US.

The warranty and AppleCare/AppleCare+ on the iPhone are not international.

You will have to physically take your phone to the US or send it to someone you know there if it ever needs service.

If there's no Applecare Plus in Norway then the alternative is buying Applecare Protection Plan (which is quite different). Since different rules in terms of Consumer Law apply in different countries, you have to purchase the plan according to where you live. For instance, there's no Limited Warranty in the US whereas European Countries have a minimum of 2 years according to local law.

You can not purchase AppleCare in Norway for a phone originally sold in the US. The phone you bought is not subject to European consumer protection laws. If that's a concern, you should have purchased a phone in Europe instead of the US. The EU is considered a 'single country' by Apple when it comes to warranty and service coverage.

I don't really need the AppleCare to be international, I just need a way to buy the US AppleCare but I don't have an adress to enter in the registration phase for the billing, because I don't live in America. The phone is bought in USA and will be fixed in USA.

You would need a friend‘s address.
