Old phone broke, so I got a new phone

My old Iphone broken, so I bought a new Iphone. I had everything transferred over, but now it is looking for me to use my old device to enter in a verification code.

With my old device destroyed, I can not do that. I only have 1 working apple product, my new phone.

There is nothing at https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage that will allow me to put the code in, or turn off this feature.

Also my phone is asking me to turn on 2 factor authentication, but when I press on this button in settings, it says...

"Verification failed

There was a problem connecting to the server."

iPhone 7, iOS 11.2.6

The issue you're already dealing with IS Two Factor Authentication. This was included in the link I Provided:

What if I don’t have access to a trusted device or didn't receive a verification code?

If you're signing in and don’t have a trusted device handy that can display verification codes, you can have a code sent to your trusted phone number via text message or an automated phone call instead. Click Didn't Get a Code on the sign in screen and choose to send a code to your trusted phone number. You can also get a code directly from Settings on a trusted device. Learn how to get a verification code.
