seems like i have to re input my fingerprints constantly because scanner doesn't recognize it

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.2.6

I work outside as a mechanic and farmer, do you think facial unlocking would be better even if I’m sweating and dirt covered.

I don't really know. However, it's not an option on an iPhone 7.

I'd suggest just using the passcode.
