Repeating the snooze with the alarm while in a phone call

Hello,

I have an iPhone 5S, updated to iOS 11.2.6. I use the alarm feature for memos and often need to "snooze" them to be reminded a bit later (e.g. if I am still 20 minutes form home and would like to be reminded again of a task at home that I set the alarm for). The problem is that if I am in a phonetical, answering a text, reading something on an app and the alarm goes off, a gray banner (the topic of the alarm) pops up at the top of my screen and I can't seem to snooze it. If I tap the gray pop-up it goes directly into the alarm section and I find the alarm has been turned off. Ditto if I tap the home button.

What am I doing wrong?
