Apple watch signed into FaceTime?

I just received a message warning me that someone recently signed into FaceTime on an Apple Watch using my Apple ID. It said if this was me I could ignore the message. It wasn't me, but there was no indication what to do in that case.

I guess I could change my Apple ID password, but I did that yesterday and, with a Mac, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch and Apple TV, it's not trivial.

Plus, there's no FaceTime app for the Apple Watch so how could one sign into FaceTime?

Can I ignore this message?

Good evening.

There is Facetime for Apple Watch, Audio only. This was most likely a legit request sent when you setup your Watch or change some settings.

Thanks for the reply. As I mentioned, I changed my Apple ID password, and then had to sign into iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, iTunes etc. again. I triggered another of these "... from an Apple Watch" messages this morning while getting Text Message Forwarding working again, and I'm 99.9% confident that, in some way I don't quite understand, it was me that generated the message.

I've checked all my signed-in devices and there's nothing untoward.

I understand from your post that you recently received an alert that you had signed into FaceTime on an Apple Watch when you have not. Resetting your password is a good start to ensure that your Apple ID is secure. The following article has some additional information to make sure your account is secure:

Having read further, the watch can make FaceTime audio calls. It doesn't have to; to also makes regular calls. Obvious, really :-[

Thanks for the reply. When I received the notification I looked for a watch FaceTime app in the Apple Watch app on my iPhone and there isn't one. What I missed is that there is a Phone app which, as you point out, can be used to make audio-only calls and it obviously uses FaceTime to do it.
