How do I put music from my MacBook onto my iMac

I used my MacBook to put all of the music from my CD collection because it has a CD rom. I want to put that music on my main computer, the iMac. I have authorized both computers and have home sharing on. Can you please tell me how to transfer the music from the Macbook to the iMac? Actually I would really like to sync music to both devices but that doesn't seem possible. I have read a few articles on how to do this but I don't see an advanced drop down for icloud sharing. Thanks for your help.

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

Hello DBizBender,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that you'd like to transfer or sync your iTunes music library from your MacBook to your iMac. I've got some options that can help.

If your an Apple Music member, you can use iCloud Music Library to access your music library across multiple devices. Take a look at the following link for steps to turn on iCloud Music Library:

Another option would be to use an iTunes backup on an external hard drive and manually move the library to your iMac.

Have a great day!
