WHY CANT I ADD ANYMORE FRIENDS ON iCHAT

everytime i add a friends it says feed bag error or something. but if i delete a friends and then try to add a buddy it works. Is it because I can only add a limited amount of friends?

MacBook Pro 15 inch, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

There is a limit to the number of people you can have in an iChat buddy list, which is about 200. If you need or want more than this, you can create an additional .Mac trial or AIM screen name and use it for the extra people.

what if i downloaded AIM, would that let me add more friends.

Aside from using CrossOver, Parallels Desktop, or Boot Camp to run AIM 6.0 on your computer, you can't increase the number of people on your buddy list beyond about 200.
