Bring back check Activation Lock Status on iCloud page!
Hi, can anyone tell me the reason why Apple would taken down a page which brings in more business for them,
I mean its not just of that fact but its for piece of mind when buying 2nd hand for future customers and traders..?

Exactly how does this create business for Apple?
They make zero money from the 2nd hand market and it could be argued the 2nd hand market costs them money.
They likely took it down because it had come to be used to harm the 2nd hand market not help it. A classic case of "this is why we can't have nice things"
This is how you now protect yourself from buying an activation locked device.
It was apparently being used by hackers in order to find a serial number where activation lock was not turned on so that they could steal that serial number: https://www.macrumors.com/2017/01/30/activation-lock-website-used-in-hack/
All seems over blown as Apple as to my knowledge has said nothing. If there was any truth in it why is Apple still printing there serial numbers on the back of iPads?? it doesn't make sense.
That site is called "macrumors" after all.
The fact that the serial numbers are visible on the back of the device has nothing to do with the article I posted. The problem was that hackers could use the site to try different serial numbers until they found one where activation lock was not turned on.
