I cannot open links in messenger on iPad. It says unable to connect. Retry. The links are fine because i can open on my iPhone. How do I fix this frustr problem?

Apple can't solve the problem. It's not Apple's problem to solve. Talk to facebook about it. It's their app.
Same with mine since the Messenger update of April 4, 2018. You can contact Facebook or just wait for an update.
Same problem here. Every link I try to open in messenger is says ‘Can’t connect. Sorry this link doesn’t seem to be working.’ It doesn’t work on any of our iPads.
Same problem, driving me crazy! I can view links on facebook, but not in messenger.
I am having the same problem and am interested in the solution. It is frustrating. I have checked all options in the app and see no way to fix it. Anyone out there who can help us?

Exactly same issue on my iPad Pro and my wife’s one as well... works fine on iPhone however...
This is driving me nuts, Apple why is there no solution? Cant open any links on FB messenger and cant even open links on fb settings
Same here with the inability to tap on a link and it’s more frustrating everyday knowing it isn’t being fixed!
So why are you complaining here instead of taking it up with facebook?
Because a search for the issue links first to here and it’s a problem that seems to be specific to iPad. If you can’t be helpful don‘t comment.
