My 5K iMac has the screen resolution of a 4K iMac
I have had a second-hand iMac core i7 27-inch 5K (Late 2014) and after fresh installing High Sierra yesterday I noticed that the text on the screen was too small ocompared to what I was used to.
I checked the display settings and tried to change them, but nothing seemed to make it look like all my previous macs did. It was either too little or too small.
The screen default resolution is 3200x1800 and the next step up is 2048 x 1152. Then I found out how to have more screen resolution options and I set it up to 2880 x 1620, which is close to what I need (the default 2560 x 1440), but not quite!
After some research I noticed that the screen resolution values that I have in front of me are the screen resolution of a 4k iMac, which I find very weird. My iMac is 5K. I freshly installed the OSX and I don't think I've done any mistakes.
I've also reset the NVRAM but nothing has changed.
Do you have any idea of what this could be due to?
