Reuse slides in keynote

In powerpoint we can use ‘add new slides’ to a presentation by doing a Reuse File from a file containing some slides. Does Keynote has the same function that allows us to Reuse or Import slides from a file?.

Hope there is such function in Keynote so I do not have to switch between PowerPoint and Keynote while doing my presentation.

MacBook Pro, iOS 10.3.1, OS is Sierra 10.12.4

To copy, one or more slides from one Keynote presentation to another:

  • open both Keynote presentations and place them side by side
  • select the slides from the Slide Navigator that you want to add to the second presentation (the side panel on the left)
  • drag the selected slides from the first presentation on to the Navigator of the second
  • if you are to use slides from an existing PowerPoint presentation, open it in Keynote then transfer the slides.

Hello Gary,

This is my previous questions on how to copy one slide from one keynote presentation to another. How can I open both presentations and place them side by side. When I did that, both presentations are under the same keynote but in different tabs. I could not drag the slides from one another.

Please advise. Thanks again.

Thank You Gary. Please excuse me for the various questions as I am very new to both Keynote and Powerpoint. I am learning them right now as I was asked to do some volunteer work for my church.

Another question - how do we do border wrap around (e.g a black line wrap a yellow text character) of a text character??

Thanks
