Not enough memory - not true?

I have a model md 788ll/b iPad 16 gb, available 7.36gb version 11.2.6 according to the General, About tab

I downloaded Fortnite. It occupies 1.99 gb and when I try to run it a message says it needs 1 gb more. This has happened before with other apps. Is the a solution?

iPad Air Wi-Fi, iOS 11.2.6, None

You have to remember 16 GB is pretty much a ridiculously low, paltry amount of space for all the resource-intensive apps out there. Every time you say boo, there goes 2 GB here and there goes 4 GB there. Use the cloud for most of your stuff, i.e. photos, videos, songs, etc.
