Macbook Pro 13" mid 2012 brightness

Hello Apple Community!

I've searched the whole internet but couldnt find any answer.

Can someone tell me, how bright this MBP is, or should be (nits) ?

I feel like my macbooks display got way too dark in the past 3 years what makes it useless for working outside on a sunny day, and i just wanted to compare with the latest MCP's with 500nits.

YOu can Try resetting the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964

If you continue to have issues with the screen brightness take it in—

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test
