Retina display coating

I'm experiencing issues with my retina display coating wearing off on my macbook pro. It first started a year after I purchased it but I thought my screen was just dirty. A friend has recently brought to my attention that it's actually a fault with the retina display. My laptop works completely fine, it's just the screen coating is eating away. My warranty has expired. What should I do?

Hello afra.r,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. I understand the antireflective coating is wearing off on your MacBook Pro and you would like to determine options to get that resolved. I would be happy to help!

Consider taking your MacBook to an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Retail Store to determine which service and support options are available. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ (available in some countries and regions only).

You can also get support by phone or chat, set up a repair, or make a Genius Bar reservation for your MacBook here: Contact - Official Apple Support

Take care!
