Keyboard language switch happens automatically even inside of the same word. No punto switcher. How to stop it? Is that a defect?

Are you using caps lock to switch languages? If not, try that. You have to check a box at the bottom of system prefs/keyboard/input sources.
What languages exactly are being switched?
Is it possible you are hitting caps lock key or control plus space by accident?
English and Russian are two languages I use. English is set as default.
Not possible with accidental hitting.

The laptop is new, bought just about a month ago, and this problem arrived about a week ago. Everything worked smoothly before.
