My iPod classic 6th generation won't sync to iTunes. Do the updates now surpass the software for this device? If so, can I revert my iTunes to the last update that supports the classic? If so, how can I do this?

The iPod classic should work properly with iTunes 12.7.3.46 on both Windows and Mac. Just restored my iPod classic to confirm this for another thread. In some cases iTunes or the device may "forget" the selection of content that is supposed to be syncing, in which case you may need to set that up again.
