A couple months ago everything on my mac was working just fine and I could pull up my serial number whenever I needed to. Then I reset my MacBook (which I assume I did wrong) and now I my serial number is unavailable and I cant use iMessage or FaceTime. Any solutions would be appreciated.

Apple has a reserialization tool they can use. It's proprietary software but it just takes a few minutes for them to do it.
