Fraudulent Website Warning and JavaScript Off by Default?

Hi everyone,

did anyone realize this as well? I'm pretty sure that I had my Setting > Safari > Fraudulent Website Warning Enabled and > Advanced > JavaScript also Enabled. After yesterdays iOS 11.3 update I found both those settings Off (Disabled).

It was exactly the same case on all mine and family iOS devices, I have turned those features On again, but I'm searching some clarification why this happens and what reason Apple has to turn those features off? (And I'd like to confirm if that change is really caused by the iOS 11.3 update or something else?)

Yeah, I have just confirmed that, on iPhone 6 Plus, I checked I had Fraudulent Website Warning positively Enabled and after the 11.3 update this was switched Off. Still didn't find explanation why??? Is it Apple's intention? Or is it a glitch in an update, which should be addressed or mentioned at least?

Quite a few modern sites rely on JavaScript for navigation, especially the “responsive” designs from the CMS published plans, where the author-user has no influence on fallback technology for when JavaScript is off.

Having JavaScript turned off by an OS update, breaks the web for many, without apparent cause (unless one reads forums like this one).

I've just found this issue as well. All my family devices have the issue after updating to iOS 11.3, it's obviously a bug with the update. I've reported the issue to Apple as a bug related problem with iOS 11.3

You're right.

It's off in all iPhones in my household: 6, 6s, 7, 8 Plus.

Needs to manually turn it back ON.
