Safari 11.1 and Facebook

After updating to 11.1 many of the Facebook pages do not operate properly. Take, for example, the news feed. When I get to the bottom of the page, the newsfeed will not load additional feed information. When I click on the "More stories" area, nothing happens.

Anyone have a clue on what is going on?

I'm having issues as well with Safari 11.1 and Facebook. I am up to date with all High Sierra updates. The issues I have are as follows:
1. Sometimes sliders in windows disappear.

2. On every login, an FB window pops up asking if I'm sure I want to leave the page (see attached image).

3. FB notification windows don't stay anchored in place, i.e. if I scroll up down the notification windows scroll up and down.

I'm not using any extensions.

I have no issues with Chrome or Firefox. I have no other issues with my system.

Go step by step and test.

1. Quit and relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

2. If Safari is slow, stops responding, quits unexpectedly, or has other issues

3. Enable Develop menu and Empty Caches

4. Remove cookies and website data.

5. Sometimes third party software can cause this kind of a problem.

Please run EtreCheck and post the report here.

Please note that I applied the Safari update to my iMac and Mac Book Pro. I also applied it to my wife's Mac Mini. The same results that I described are happening to all the machines. I tried the steps that you suggested....no change. Here is that report that you requested:

The above steps did not fix the problem.

Somewhere I saw where Dashlane was believed to be the problem and that a request was sent to them by whoever it was that suggested it to be the problem. However, I have two Facebook sites including my own, and our high school class site. The high school class site works fine, even with Dashlane enabled. My personal site does not, whether Dashlane is enabled or disabled. No difference!

So far, I've learned that I have at least one new problem. That is that the "home" page only shows the most recent two posts. There is a "See More" button at the bottom, but it does not do anything! I am hearing that other problems have been created as well, but I've not yet experienced them.

Firefox works just fine. Disabling Dashlane is not the answer. Something happened in Safari and how it interacts with Facebook!!

This all started with the Mac OSX upgrade to 10.13.4, a couple of days ago.

HELP!!!!!

Apr 9, 2018 11:55 AM in response to JV Idaho

Unfortunately I cannot edit or delete my post, immediately above. But I did not sufficiently disable Dashlane, and thought I had disabled it. When I went to the Preferences and the Extensions, and turned it off like dominic23 wery well described and suggested, it DID work. Thank you, dominic23!!! It is interesting that Facebook functioned correctly on our high school class Facebook page, though, even with the Dashlane extension enabled. I'm not going to question why, however, but will just be glad it worked.
