How to transfer music from one iPhone to another with out using iTunes or a pc is there a type of cable I could get to just connect them together and transfer ? Thanks

Not that I know of. I assume you want to transfer music you have not purchased through iTunes. There is a Quick Start feature included with iOS 11:

Transfer content from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

but according to the "Finish up" subsection, it still downloads your music over WI-FI from the iTunes Store which will not include your other music (burned from CDs, etc.).

You can always download your previous purchases (provided you use the same Apple ID) anytime:

Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books from the iTunes Store, iBooks Store, and App Store - Apple Support

Not directly phone to phone but:
