How to get my Outlook Contacts into CarPlay

I have a new Audi A3 and have set up the telephone function to use the Audi Smartphone/Apple Carplay with my iPhone X. How can I transfer a Contacts List from my PCs Outlook Addrees Book? Audi suggest getting the list onto an SD card in .vcf format.

iPhone X, iOS 11.3

Greetings Brimat,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand you wish to have your Outlook contacts seen with CarPlay. I'll be happy to help point you in the right direction from here.

Please review the following article from the iPhone user guide:

iPhone

You'll see the following information in the CarPlay section:

CarPlay uses the contacts on your iPhone to help you make calls, send texts, and find destinations.

You'd be able to export your contacts from your Outlook account, and then import them into your iCloud account. You may need to reach out to Outlook for assistance with getting your contacts exported as a vCard file. You could then enable iCloud Contacts on your iPhone X. Once the contacts are with your iPhone, they'd then be seen when you connect your iPhone with CarPlay.

The following guide will show you how to import the contacts to iCloud:

iCloud: Import a contact into iCloud Contacts

Let me know how those steps work out for you.

Cheers!
