Will I lose my photos in my camera roll if I change my Apple ID?

I want to change my Apple ID, but I am unsure if my photos in my camera roll will save. I have turned off the iCloud photo library so that my photos won't sync to my old Apple ID. Also, is there a way to make sure that all of my photos are saved to my camera roll?

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support I suggest doing this before you change your Apple ID or password.

Yes.

When you login using a different Apple ID, all content associated with the previous Apple ID is deleted.
