I'm sorry, but just read what we're providing you.

  1. Under most conditions you NEVER have to worry about normal air humidity causing your lightning plug to be wet. I live in Florida, the land of humidity and have charged my phone many times without air-conditioning and have never had an issue.
  2. Just plug it in and if your phone charges, you're good.
  3. If there's an error unplug it
  4. You really don't need to worry about this

That depends on where you are, and what the "natural moisture" level is. Anywhere with condensing levels of moisture can cause problems. The Lightning connector on the phone or cable will not be damaged by moisture, as the contacts are gold plated, but if you have actual condensation in the connector it can short out the Lightning cable and prevent the phone from charging or syncing. Drying it out will generally resolve this temporary problem.

Get a bright light and magnifying glass and look in the connector. If you don't see any moisture, and the phone works when plugged in, then there's no problem.

Note that there are only a few places in the world where the humidity might be high enough to be a problem, as long as you don't leave the phone in the bathroom when showering. Some tropical countries such as ones in Southeast Asia, Hawai'i, Southern India and Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, etc.

I think you're frankly being paranoid. Unless you live inside a hot sticky sauna, I simply wouldn't worry about the humidity in the air under most conditions. There are untold millions of iPhones being charged daily with lightning cables and yet on this, Apple's own discussion forum, I can't remember a single thread started by anyone that their connector damaged their port used for charging because of moisture in the air. But if this is a super concern for you, get an iPhone 8, 8 Plus or iPhone X and use wireless QI charging.
