Hi, I have iMovie 10.1.8 in a new MacBook Pro. In iMovie I cannot under any circumstances change the font size. I've done internet searches and rebooted and rebooted, but still not able to change font size. I can see by the internet traffic that this is an ongoing problem. Has a solution been found?
Start up holding the Option and command key does not work and I haven't heard boo it working for anyone. My IMovie has the Font drop down menus but does not have the Font Size menu nor the Text Alignment menu as shown in the photo you attached to your answer.

Not all title fonts will let you change the font size, but most of them will. Place your title above the timeline and select its icon. Your title will appear in the preview screen. In the tool bar at the top right of your screen, click on the large T. You will see the name of the font in the font selection box. To the immediate right you will see another box where you can select different font sizes.
If you are still unable to change the font size, try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys, and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. Sometimes that cures glitches.

As I mentioned, some titles won't give you those options. Try some different titles and if you still get the problem it looks like you may have gotten a bad download. In that case, try downloading the recent iMovie update, that is version 10.1.9.
