Iphone 7(Red) lightning port reboot?

I have an iphone7(Red) and when i pulg in lightning cable to charg or listen to music it goes into what i call “Continuios apple logo reboot mode”. basicly the phone does charge but its completely dissabled for normal use until unpluged. I already tried restore from a later version of ios from before the problem started but that didnt help. This tells me only one thing.... its not software its hardware. Note: the phone is in mint condition and has never been dropped!

Any help?

Hey there, red280,

Thanks for bringing your iPhone 7(Red) issue to the Apple Support Communities. If I'm understanding, whenever you connect the lightning charging cable or the lightning EarPods, the iPhone begins to reboot constantly, not progressing beyond the Apple logo. I know how important it is for the phone to stay on when you need it to, especially if you're connecting headphones or the charging/data cable. I'm happy to help!

Based on what you've described, I would recommend taking the iPhone into an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have it inspected. Once a Genius or Apple-certified technician has had an opportunity to look it over, they can let you know what's going on and what needs to be done to fix it. You can find the nearest store, get contact information, and set reservations here: Apple - Find Locations .

You're also welcome to reach out to Apple Support directly for more information and to review your options: Contact Apple Support .

Have a wonderful day!
