turn off two step deletion in Messages
since the latest update IOS 11.3, iMessages is always asking a confirmation when deleting a message,
this is really annoying, is there a way to "bypass" that new feature ?

No. you can let Apple know here Product Feedback - Apple
It was probably implemented b/c we see countless threads about using accidenttally deleted the message and end user doesn't have a backup to restore back to.

that makes sense, but would be nice to be able in the "advanced" setting to disable that new feature by default
