Finder - "Keep folders on top" option is not available ?!?

Hi, I have been looking for a solution on Finder, to have the folders/subfolders listed on top of during sorting. I found several answers pointing to an option under Finder -> Preferences -> Advanced -> check the box that shows "Keep folders on top when sorting by name". See screenshot below:

Sounds simply enough. Except that the Advanced preferences on my Macbook does not show this option to be available. Mine looks like this:

What am I missing? I have a Macbook air, with OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.5. I check for software update a few days ago and it says all my software is latest and updated.

Appreciate your advice. Thank you!
