I need to start a group chat on my iPhone that will include 25-30 contacts and these contacts are both Android and iPhone users how to do this? Right now I can add anymore contacts after 20 people.

You don't. 20 is the limit.

Usually 10 is the max amount of number you can add.
YOu can ask your phone carrier as MMS is their feature or break up the group text.
