How do I get rid of the Skype Virus?

My Macbook Pro late 2013 with Sierra is sending google links through my Skype account to my contacts. How do I get rid of the virus and clean my computer? I have changed my Skype password, deleted the app from the Macbook and installed Malwarebytes. The antivirus says the computer is clean, but did not detect anything. Is this enough?
