USB 3.0 - Windows 7 on a Mac Mini Late 2014

I have decided to quit following my last post mainly because it was getting me nowhere. I have an Windows 10 installer that does work and boots with USB 3.0 because it has native drivers which allows me to use my keyboard and mouse. My Mac Mini has only USB 3.0 on all 4 ports. I have followed the guide that from Apple the Boot Camp has provided me when trying to download the Boot Camp assistant program. I followed the guide and copied over the correct contents and made sure that the files are compatible with my Mac hoping for luck when rebooting the Mac Mini into the installer. When I rebooted into the flash drive I got a message saying that Boot Camp is loading the flash drive and when it booted into the installer, the mouse and keyboard doesn't work. I have no idea what is going on at this point. I know for one for one thing is that this Mac is Windows 7 supported.

If you are wondering about what guide I used. I used this guide:

Install Windows 7 on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support

Mac mini, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), I got this Mac Mini yesterday

But repeating the same issue in a new thread will not get you different answers. 😉

This is incorrect. Your Mini has a USB port which supports both USB2 and USB3. It depends on drivers.

Are you certain you followed How to install Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support , which has

A blank 16GB or larger USB 2 flash drive. (If you have one of these Mac models, you don't need a flash drive).

You seem to fixated upon (in Install Windows 7 on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support)

If you're installing Windows 7 64-bit or 32-bit, you also need a 16GB or larger USB storage device or drive formatted as MS-DOS (FAT) to install Windows Support software (drivers).

You seem to think by not mentioning USB2 vs USB3, using a USB3 will work. Is that correct? Given the two articles, you should either get a USB2 flash drive or update install.wim to include USB3 drivers as shown in How to Install Windows 7 with only USB 3.0 Ports .
