If you are seeing an Activation Lock screen with a different ID, then it is locked to that ID. The device was erased before it was sold to you, but that does not remove the Activation Lock. You need to take it back to get a refund from whomever you purchased it from. Apple will not be able to help you.

Sorry 😟

That's not unusual. People often use phones locked to another ID until they update them and then are locked out. If you can return the phone where you bought it that would be the best advice. Having a box that matches the IMEI doesn't mean the phone wasn't Activation Locked.

Hi ashiknetwork,

It sounds like you're having some trouble with another Apple ID showing up on your iPhone. I know it can be confusing seeing different Apple ID info showing up, and I want to help you sort this out.

While it's only possible to sign in to one Apple ID at a time on every iPhone, but it's possible you've restored data from a backup that contains an item from another Apple ID. When you try to launch or update that app, you'll be prompted to enter the Apple ID that it's associated with.

To solve this issue, you'll want to find which app, or apps, is causing the problem and remove it. If it's a free app, you can download it again from the App Store.

Here's some info on how to delete an app:

Let me know if that helps.

I bought it from a 3rd party store in bangladesh. Do there may be chances that it may be 2nd hand. But they Gave me recit and imei matching box and everything. As I am in Bangladesh there is no official apple care. So can I remotly show documents to apple and can unlock it? and yes its showing activation lock and asking for a id. But before restart in the icloud section I put my id and it also sends email that I am sign in with my id. But after restore it is asking for new id. If any one put id before why there was no id in the icloud section in settings?
