remove flashlight shortcut from iPhone X lock screen

The flashlight keeps on triggering in my pants front pocket. It drains my battery and I end noticing the light is on when the phone becomes very hot. How can I remove this short cut from the lock screen ?

I guess this is the best of the bad solutions I have to fix my issue untill they give us access to a setting option to use it or not on the lock screen. Though I really like tap to wake since there are no more button on the X and I use it a lot when at my desk to quickly unlock the phone. I whish it could be something a bit less easy like triple tap or something not likely to happen in a pocket though.

On top of this, with summer coming I find the tap to wake in the pocket a bit too sensitive, may be with the light sweat moist when it becomes hot outside. Thigh skin interacts more with the screen through trouthers pockets when it's hot outside. Last Cristmas holidays under the tropics turned out to be quite expensive in roaming since I kept calling my wife for 2 minutes (voice message lenght) each time from my pocket. I ended up with a 100€+ Bill at the end of the trip just from pocket calls.

I know I could also turn the screen facing front, not facing my thigh, but I do it to protect the screen should I bump into a table or a subway rolling barrier and damage the screen.

Lawrence the flashlight is actually on the lock screen and can be activated by a push on the icon directly on the lock screen on iPhone X.

To the OP. If I had your phone, I wouldn't remove the flashlight from lockscreen. I'd turn off Tap to Wake. What's happening is as your phone is being jostled as you walk, the screen is becoming active. Turning off Tap to Wake would fix this without you having to remove the flashlight. Your choice of course, but if you want to do this:

Settings > General > Accessibility > Turn off Tap to Wake

It isn't on the lock screen, it's on the control center. So to activate it you must swipe up on the lock screen to view the control center, then tap the flashlight. One way fix this is to disable the control center on the lock screen. Go to Settings/Touch ID & Passcode, enter your passcode, and turn off Control Center.

Another way to just disable the flashlight is to go to Settings/Control Center, tap Customize Controls, and tap the "-" next to Flashlight. This will still leave all of the other controls on Control Center for you to butt-activate, however.

In reading this thread, it occurred to me that I wouldn't have the nerve to carry a $1,000+ phone loose in my pocket.

I have NEVER EVER carried any iPhone in my pocket. I never will. My iPhone X is housed in a very safe and secure clip case, which keeps the phone screen protected when not in use, but permits exposing the screen when in use.
