I have the i phone 5s. The T-Mobile representative at the store helped me with the activation. But I had to leave before he can pair it for me. I thought pairing the apple 3 series watch to my I phone 5s will not be a problem. But, when trying to pair my watch its saying. I need a new phone. Does anyone know how I can pair my I watch 3 with I phone 5 without getting a new phone.

Did you buy the series 3 GPS with cellular? If so, then yes, you do need a newer phone.
If you just bought the series 3 GPS (no cellular option), then it should work with your 5s.
