Start up issues

On start up my desktop boots up about 3/4 of the way then just switches off.. any suggestions please

iMac Pro, iOS 11.3

How is this user going to start the machine in safe mode? He already stated it goes about 3/4 of the way and just shuts down. I had a similar issue and just reinstalled the operating system and this fixed the issue. The advice given on these forums is 90% inaccurate. Even if the machine started in safe mode that wouldn't resolve the issue. This user's experience is another example of How Apple has failed everyone that bought an IMac Pro.
