System software from developer "SFNT Germany GmbH" was blocked from loading. How do I get rid of this software?

I've just set up a clean install of high Sierra on a new hard drive. It's been setup less than 24 hours and the above warning pops up. The problem is, I don't know what the software is. I have no idea. I'm concerned its malware.

I've only downloaded a few apps from the App Store:

  • System monitor
  • File locker
  • And one or two others

Plus:

  • i1 Profiler
  • Spotify
  • VLC Player
  • 1Password

I wonder if it could be the i1 Profiler software because the message first popped up immediately after it installed & restarted the computer. Problem is, I have now uninstalled all of the above programmes (except 1Password) but the message is continuing. If I can't get rid of it I might erase the hard drive & start again. Any thoughts?

Navigate to MacHD/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences and delete the i1Profiler Preferences file com.x-rite.i1Profiler.plist

Note: i1Profiler installs a folder structure, in which your custom Assets and Workflow Settings will be saved. If you want to delete it, navigate to MacHD/Library/Application Support/X-Rite/i1Profiler and move it to the trash (you might want to save a copy before deleting it).

Note: i1Profiler generates a couple of helpful Log Files. If you want to delete them, review this article.

Just the message in the system preferences when I click under the security tab:

System software from developer "SFNT Germany GmbH" was blocked from loading

If I didn't click on the security panel each time (after uninstalling a programme and restarting the computer) in system preferences I might not see it, but I'm sure it loaded on restart to show me the message at least initially.

Thanks for the help. I ran that script earlier but even after a restart, the message was still there (very persistent). And it was also accompanied by a pop-up about "hasplmd" which also only started immediately after installing the xrite profiler. I've definitely seen this "hasplmd" message on my other Mac after installing xrite software. But the SFNT message definitely concerned me. I'm sure you're right About the i1 profiler. It would be nice to be able to fully remove the software & these two warning messages if just to confirm that it is indeed the 'culprit.'.

Do you have any idea on how to fully remove the xrite software? (I notice this user had some instances of both "hasplmd," and "SFNT" on their system too). Thanks.

ℹ Hi, I checked the folder Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support and found a folder called "HASP". It had a lot of files that were installed at about the time I had installed "i1 Profiler." Contents shown below (hasplmd etc.).

User uploaded file

I decided to delete the entire "HASP" folder and restart the Mac. The "Hasplmd," message had now disappeared, but the "SFNT Germany GmbH," security pane message was still there at restart.

ℹ Next, I searched for "xrite" in the system library and found the following three files at Macintosh HD/Library/LaunchDaemons. I deleted all three files that were found in the folder (can I delete the actual 'LaunchDaemons' folder too?)

  • com.aladdin.aksusbd.plist
  • com.aladdin.hasplmd.plist
  • com.xrite.hasp.drivers.plist

✅ And, finally, at restart the messages have disappeared.

⚠ Two quick questions:

01) Did I delete any important system files in the above process?

02) And, do you think it is actually safe to reinstall i1 Profiler and allow these applications to run, now that I know that they are part of the xrite i1 Profiler software?
