How to turn off camera 'clicking' sound on iPad Notability

Most of the solutions to this issue that I read instructed me to turn down or "mute" the volume using the minus button (or 'volume slider') on the edge of my iPad. (Well, duh!) I tried this--more than once, just in case, while in and out of Notability--and it never worked for me. Then I read something about muting not being allowed in certain countries so therefore I should look up what country it was manufactured in. Although I doubted that was actually the problem, because I have successfully muted the camera shutter sound before. Well, it took me a little while, but I finally figured out the solution on my own. I went into my iPad 'Settings' and then into 'Sounds'. Then I switched off the virtual switch for 'Keyboard Clicks" and the "Lock Sound". When I tested the camera after that, the clicking sound was gone. Then I turned the main volume back up just to test it again and, still, no clicking sound. Since I had read what seemed like a lot of complaints about this problem, I figured maybe the solution I discovered might help somebody else.

By the way, I'm not sure what specific kind of iPad I have, but I did find in 'Settings: About' that it's using operating system version 11.3 (or at least I think that's what that means).

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
