Stolen Iphone

I bought an iphone 6 for my girl friend, and it was stolen. I don't have the IMEI number because i didn't get the original packaging, how can you assist in locating it?

Also note the following from that link:

Find My iPhone is the only way that you can track or locate a lost or missing device. If Find My iPhone isn't enabled on your device before it goes missing, there is no other Apple service that can find, track, or otherwise flag your device for you.

We can't.

We are just users and can track nothing. Apple does not track lost or stolen equipment.

It says that the phone is currently offline

As long as it is offline which indicates it is either turned off or the battery is dead, there is no way at all for you to locate it over the network
